Paul Kim

Paul is a co-founder of Redemptive Capital, a small investment firm focusing on supporting companies that seek the flourishing of low-income South Africans and their families. He is an actuary by trade but has built up expertise in startups, behavioural economics, and redemptive design. Paul is an eternal learner and strives to connect his Christian faith practically to all spheres of life using the lens of biblical wisdom.

Dr James (JB) Krohn
Dr James Krohn is a theological educator, former pastor, and the founder-director of KRUX. He studied visual arts before moving on to focus on Theology; first studying under Dr JI Packer in Canada and later completing a DTh on Calvin’s Trinitarian vision in Stellenbosch. He has served on the faculties of the Bible Institute of South Africa and George Whitefield College, and as sessional lecturer at Regent College in Canada. He is married to Corli, and together with their five children they are avid outdoor enthusiasts and adventurers.

Rev. Jay Stoms
Reverend Jay Stoms has a passion for teaching the Gospel to international students, hereby he sees the Gospel going into all the world, through these individuals. Jay’s teaching methodology is to teach biblical truths as presented in the Bible, through stories. Currently Jay is also busy writing up his PhD on this methodology. Jay’s wife Laura assists in his ministry, and he is blessed with three daughters.

Renier Coetzee
Renier is one of the founders of Trinity Children’s Centre, a donor-funded Christian school dedicated to doing life-changing education with children in adversity. He served as the first principal of the school and holds a master’s degree in education. He is married to Helen and they have two daughters.

Jon Hopkins
Jon Hopkins has worked with U-turn Homeless Ministries for the past five years and oversees U-turn’s client facing work and turning U-turn’s replication dreams into reality. He started his working life as a teacher in Tanzania before joining a large international charity to work on HIV and public health. Jon is married to Lucy and has three amazing children.

Rev Kenneth Meshoe

Reverend Kenneth Meshoe is a co-founder and President of the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) – he has decades of experience in politics as a Christian in the South African context. He also serves as a pastor and preacher and is happily married to his wife of 46 years, and is proud to be  father of 3, and grandfather of 3.

Vilna Badi
Mrs Vilna Badi (aka Mama V) is the founder of the Jesus4Real Ministry. With the assistance of volunteers, she ministers to woman that have had to resort to prostitution as a way of life in the Pretoria CBD. Vilna is passionate about the fact that Jesus sees the dignity in all people, even the outcast. Her ministry is earmarked by this care and love for those on the fringes of society, and shares Jesus’ message of Grace and love with them through her words and deeds.

Reagan Klaasen

Reagan Klaasen is the Founder of Cynergy foundation, along with his wife Nikki. Together with their team, they see the far reaching issues of unemployment,  and are thus passionate about “educating, equipping, and empowering people to realise their God-given potential in order to achieve their destinies.” They teach literacy, leadership and lifeskills, in order for those benefitting from their work to become valuable participants in the economy.

Dr Lieschen Venter

Dr Lieschen Venter is a Operations research lecturer at Stellenbosch University, and a dedicated partner of KRUX.Africa. Lieschen a keen eye for patterns and cultural trends – her hobbies of being ‘perpetually online’, blended with her academic training (along with an  Hon. in Theology), make her observations on cultural trends: punchy, eye-opening, and relevant.

Prof Nicola de Jager

Nicola de Jager  holds a PhD in Political Science and is an Associate Professor at Stellenbosch University. She has 20 years lecturing experience in South African politics, governance and comparative politics. She edited the book: South African Politics published by Oxford University Press.

In 1997, Nicola surrendered her life to Jesus, and now, in her personal capacity, she speaks on worldviews, current philosophies, and governance, and is a Faculty member of Wilberforce-South Africa.

She has been married to Phillip de Jager for over 20 years, and they have two  teenage boys.
